The Klamath Falls Falcons finished runner-up at the American Legion Northwest Class A Regional Tournament for the second straight year, closing a 40-8 season that included an undefeated Area 4 run and runner-up finishes at both state and regionals.

Oregon Tech’s 2004 men’s basketball national championship team and four standout athletes have been selected for the university’s 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame class. The group will be honored Nov. 8 during a brunch at the Oregon Tech Campus Union.

Tickets for Southern Oregon University’s five-game home football schedule go on sale Aug. 6. Season-ticket and tailgate-pass renewals begin Aug. 3, with the Raiders set to host Western Oregon, Dakota State, Simpson, Arizona Christian, and College of Idaho.

The Medford Rogues narrowly missed the postseason but closed 2026 with a winning record, a 15-10 league mark and the Pacific Empire League’s best home attendance. Several Rogues also finished among the league leaders in hitting, pitching and stolen bases.

The Klamath Falls Falcons earned Oregon’s second berth to the Northwest Class A Regional Tournament with a 5-2 win over Central Point, then battled Eugene to a 2-1 finish in the state championship. The Falcons now head to Casper, Wyoming, for regional play beginning Aug. 6.

The Medford Rogues return home after a difficult 1-4 California road trip that included their first road win of the season. Medford now hosts the West Coast Kings for its final three regular-season home games as the Pacific Empire League postseason approaches.

The Klamath Falls Falcons closed the regular season at 33-4 overall and a perfect 19-0 in Area 4 play after winning two of their final three games. The Falcons now head to North Bend for the Class A state tournament beginning Wednesday.

Oregon Tech softball has signed three transfers to complete its 2027 recruiting class. The group includes two accomplished outfielders and a two-way player, all bringing championship experience and strong production from the two-year college ranks.

Southern Oregon University has named longtime Crater coach and athletic director David Heard its interim head women’s basketball coach for the 2026-27 season. Heard, an SOU alumnus, has assisted the Raiders with basketball operations and recruiting since 2023.

The Klamath Falls Falcons swept six games in five days, outscoring South and North Medford 74-6 to improve to 26-3 overall and 14-0 in Area 4. Klamath Falls enters the final week of the regular season alone atop the standings and needs three wins to clinch a state tournament berth.

The Medford Rogues swept the Lincoln Potters for the first time in franchise history and improved to 20-7 overall. Medford now carries a four-game winning streak, a deep .300-hitting lineup and second place in the conference standings into a weekend series against Humboldt.

Oregon Tech men’s basketball coach Justin Parnell announced a nine-player recruiting class for the 2026-27 season, adding five transfers and four true freshmen to a Hustlin’ Owls roster aiming for a fourth-straight NAIA Tournament appearance.

Southern Oregon University will induct six new members into the SOU Sports Hall of Fame this fall, honoring Raider standouts from women’s basketball, softball, cross country, football, wrestling and volleyball during a Sept. 26 ceremony in Ashland, with recognition during Raider football.

Falcons pitching drove a 3-1 week at the Abby’s Pizza 4th of July Classic in Roseburg, with Kollin Tacchini throwing a one-hit shutout, Hunter Glidden improving to 6-0 and three Klamath Falls pitchers combining on a 12-0 tournament-closing win.

Led by Larsen Koester, Evan Saito, Diego Grabiel and Jonathan Walsh, the Medford Rogues brought fireworks to Harry & David Field with two walk-off wins, a 19-run outburst against the West Coast Kings and a strong series-opening win over Healdsburg. Medford enters July at 16-6 overall.
