Medford Rogues Close Winning Season in Third Place
The Rogues finished 15-10 in league play, won 25 games at home and placed several players among the Pacific Empire League’s top performers.

MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford Rogues narrowly missed the postseason, but their 2026 campaign ended with a winning record, one of the league’s strongest home performances and several players among the Pacific Empire League’s statistical leaders.
Medford finished third in league play at 15-10 after a 6-4 loss to the Humboldt Crabs on Sunday. The Rogues reported a 28-13 overall record, while the league’s official statistics page lists the team at 27-13.
The final loss ended Medford’s postseason hopes, but it did little to erase a season built around success at home, steady offense and aggressive base running.
The Rogues won 25 of their 32 home games, making Harry & David Field one of the foundations of their winning season.
Medford’s offense scored 271 runs while collecting 381 hits, 59 doubles, 13 triples and 17 home runs. The Rogues also reached base at a .402 rate and stole 102 bases.
That speed remained a major part of the team’s success throughout the season.

Evan Saito led the league with 30 stolen bases. Kian Sanchez finished among the PEL’s top hitters with a .378 batting average and a .622 slugging percentage.
The pitching staff also produced several league leaders. Herman Luna recorded six wins, the most shown among the league’s individual leaders. Eric Hernandez posted a 0.67 earned run average, while Jaden Neugebauer finished with a 1.17 ERA. Wyatt Green earned four wins and struck out 38 batters.

Medford entered the final series in Arcata with postseason hopes still alive.
The Rogues lost the opener 12-5, answered with a 10-5 victory Saturday and carried an early lead into Sunday’s deciding game.
Logan Macy gave Medford a 1-0 lead in the first inning, and Evan Saito put the Rogues back in front with an RBI single in the fourth. Humboldt then scored three runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take control.
Sanchez collected three hits and drove in Medford’s final run with a ninth-inning double, but the comeback ended with the tying run still out of reach.
The loss closed the season with Medford in third place behind the Healdsburg Prune Packers and Lincoln Potters.
While the Rogues fell short of the postseason, they ended 2026 with a winning season and a roster that placed players among the PEL’s top hitters, pitchers and base runners.
