Rogues Return Home for Final Series After Rough California Road Trip
Medford closes its home schedule with three games against the West Coast Kings beginning Tuesday at Harry & David Field.
MEDFORD, Ore. — After a difficult five-game swing through Northern California, the Medford Rogues return home this week with three final chances to play in front of their fans before the 2026 regular season enters its final stretch.
The Rogues went 1-4 on the road against Healdsburg, Solano and Lincoln, with their lone victory producing one of the more notable moments of the season: Medford’s first road win of 2026.
Now the focus shifts back to Harry & David Field, where the West Coast Kings arrive Tuesday for a three-game series that will serve as the Rogues’ final home stand of the regular season.
A Tough Week With One Important Breakthrough
Medford opened the trip with back-to-back losses to the Healdsburg Prune Packers, falling 5-0 and 7-2 after a six-hour bus ride south.
The Rogues struggled to generate offense in the opener, then showed more life the following night as Anthony Thomas Jr. and Chris Ortiz drove in runs. Healdsburg, however, took control early and ultimately won the season series four games to one.
The breakthrough came Thursday in Fairfield.
Medford defeated the Solano Mudcats 6-5, earning its first road victory of the season after building an early lead and holding off a late Solano push.
Chris Ortiz put the Rogues in front with a first-inning sacrifice fly, Travis Finney added an RBI single and Kian Sanchez hit his second home run of the season.
The biggest moment came later when Jackson Rosenthal’s bunt helped bring home two runs, giving Medford enough separation to survive a ninth-inning Solano rally.
The momentum did not carry into Lincoln.
The Potters shut out Medford 9-0 Friday before taking the series finale 13-3 Saturday, sending the Rogues home after four losses in five games.
Despite the difficult trip, Medford remains in the postseason conversation as the regular season winds down.

Final Three Home Games Begin Tuesday
The Rogues return to Harry & David Field for their final three home games Tuesday through Thursday against the West Coast Kings.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. each night.
The series will also serve as Fan Appreciation, with fans encouraged to redeem Rowdy Bucks earned throughout the summer. The Rogues are also planning raffles and prizes during the three-game home stand.
For Medford, the series offers more than a final chance to play at home.
With the Pacific Empire League postseason approaching, the Rogues have an opportunity to regain momentum after the difficult California trip and make a final push before closing the regular season on the road.
Several players have already put together notable individual seasons.
Evan Saito leads the Pacific Empire League with 24 stolen bases, while Herman Luna sits among the league’s top pitchers with five wins and a 2.93 ERA. Wyatt Green has also been one of Medford’s most productive arms, recording 35 strikeouts this summer.
As a team, the Rogues have produced 223 runs through 34 games while batting .288 with a .398 on-base percentage.
Postseason Approaching
After the West Coast Kings series, Medford will finish the regular season with three games against the Humboldt Crabs beginning Friday.
The Pacific Empire League playoffs are scheduled to begin July 28.
That leaves the Rogues with six regular-season games remaining and little time to establish momentum before postseason baseball begins.
For Medford fans, Tuesday through Thursday will be the last opportunity to see the Rogues at Harry & David Field this regular season — and potentially an important three nights as the club tries to position itself for what comes next.
