A 36 year old motorcyclist from Sisters was killed Sunday in a three vehicle crash on US 101 near Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint in Curry County. OSP says the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before striking a turning SUV.
Driver Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Elk on Highway 234
A Grants Pass man was killed and his passenger seriously injured after their car struck a cow elk on Highway 234 near Antioch Road early Saturday. The vehicle continued off the roadway and hit a tree.
Medford Man Dies in Highway 26 Semi-Truck Crash Near Sandy
A 62-year-old Medford man died Thursday night after the semi-truck he was driving struck another semi that had stopped in the westbound lane of Highway 26 near Sandy, according to Oregon State Police. The highway was affected for approximately five hours.

A 54-year-old Eagle Point man died Saturday evening after his motorcycle left Highway 140 and struck a guardrail in Jackson County. Witnesses told investigators the motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed shortly before the crash.

A 74-year-old Bonanza man died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Oregon Highway 140 near Kingfisher Drive in Klamath County. Oregon State Police said the crash happened in the Bly Mountain area and remains under investigation.

A Klamath Falls man died Monday night after being struck by a commercial vehicle on Highway 97 near Chemult, according to Oregon State Police. Investigators believe Scott Henry Beggio had entered the roadway while attempting to catch his dog.

A half-mile stretch of Oregon 234 near Eagle Point will close for about two weeks beginning July 6 while crews repair sunken and cracked pavement. An unofficial gravel pullout along U.S. 101 north of Brookings will close to parking beginning June 22. ODOT and Oregon Parks officials say the area, often used to access Secret Beach and the Oregon Coast Trail, was never designed or maintained as a trailhead and has created safety and environmental concerns.
Vacant Building Destroyed in Highway 39 Fire
A vacant structure near Oregon Highway 39 and Roberta Drive in Klamath Falls was destroyed in an overnight fire Thursday, according to Klamath County Fire District 1. Fire officials said crews encountered heavy fire throughout the building and later shifted to a defensive strategy because of fire conditions and structural instability.
Driver Seriously Injured in I-5 Rollover
A driver was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 5 near Wolf Creek. Rural Metro Fire, responding on behalf of Wolf Creek Rural Fire Protection District, said firefighters removed the vehicle’s roof and windshield to extricate the driver.
Medford Council Changes Course on Main Street Plan
The Medford City Council voted 5-2 to ratify a revised Main Street plan after previously voting to return the downtown street to three lanes. The updated Option 2A configuration keeps two travel lanes, adds a one-way bike lane and is expected to create about 40 parking spaces.
