Cascade Comp Gives $50,000 to Ross Ragland Theater

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Cascade Comprehensive Care has donated $50,000 to the Ross Ragland Theater, providing a significant boost to one of downtown Klamath Falls’ best-known arts and entertainment venues.
Cascade Comprehensive Care, which owns and operates Cascade Health Alliance, said the contribution is intended to help the theater continue bringing live performances and community programming to Klamath Falls.
The donation also reflects a broader connection CCC sees between community life and health — particularly in a rural area where recruiting and retaining health care professionals can be difficult.
Grant Kennon, president and CEO of Cascade Comprehensive Care, said institutions such as the Ross Ragland help make Klamath Falls a more attractive place to live and work.
“Good health care for our members is delivered by competent providers,” Kennon said. “Attracting providers to a rural care setting can be a challenge, and cultural ‘anchors’ like the Ross Ragland are important for supporting the social needs of our residents and attracting new people to the area.”
Kennon said CCC is glad to support the theater and its role in keeping local arts accessible throughout Klamath County.
The Ross Ragland Theater has long served as a venue for local performers, touring artists, community events, and other live entertainment in downtown Klamath Falls.
Francine Marseille, executive director of the Ross Ragland Theater, said the $50,000 contribution will help the organization continue that work.
“Having the incredible support of Cascade Comprehensive Care means the world to the Ross Ragland Theater,” Marseille said. “We are deeply grateful for their commitment to strengthening our community and supporting the arts.”
Marseille said the partnership will help the theater continue providing opportunities for residents to experience live arts and entertainment.
The donation comes as arts organizations across smaller communities continue to rely on a mix of ticket revenue, sponsorships, donations, and community partnerships to maintain programming and facilities.
For CCC, the investment is also tied to the idea that cultural amenities can play a role in reducing isolation, creating social connections, and improving the overall quality of life in a community.
Cascade Comprehensive Care was founded in 1992 and is owned and operated by local health care providers. Through Cascade Health Alliance, the organization works with health providers and community partners throughout Klamath County.
