Klamath Basin Oktoberfest Returns Saturday with Beer, Live Music and Family Fun
The one-day celebration at the Running Y will feature four live bands, German-inspired food, kids activities, competitions, and local brewers from noon to 9 p.m.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Beer steins, live music, local food, and a full afternoon of family activities return to the Running Y Resort Saturday as the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest marks another year at the Bill Collier Ice Arena.
The annual event runs from noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 19 and is organized by the Klamath County Economic Development Association.

While beer is a major part of the celebration, organizers have built the event around much more than the taps. Kids activities run through the afternoon, four musical acts are scheduled throughout the day, and the evening includes stein-holding competitions and a People’s Choice Award.
The 2026 music lineup begins with Dana Wirth at 1 p.m., followed by Curb Appeal at 2:30 p.m. Fleischklopfer takes the stage at 5 p.m., with Marty Combs & The High Desert Boys closing out the evening beginning at 7 p.m.
Between sets, the stein-holding competition is scheduled for 4:15 p.m., followed by the People’s Choice Award at 6:45 p.m.
For families, kids entertainment is planned from noon to 4 p.m. Organizers say activities will include a Nerf gun arena, cornhole, Jenga, football tosses, photo booths, and other games. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.
Food will also be a major part of the day, with several local vendors expected to serve everything from festival-style fare to familiar Klamath Basin favorites. Organizers list Running Y Resort, Chely’s, Woodsy Kitchen, Victory Dog, Carte Blanche, and Shaka Bus among the participating vendors.
The celebration coincides with the opening of Oktoberfest in Munich, although the Klamath Basin version packs its festivities into a single day rather than several weeks.

Admission for non-drinkers is $10. The event website currently lists drinking admission at $25, while its FAQ notes a standard $30 general-admission price for those 21 and older that includes a commemorative Oktoberfest glass, four drink tickets, and access to entertainment. Anyone planning to drink should bring an accepted government-issued photo ID.
Beer and wine service ends with last call at 8:30 p.m., and the event wraps up at 9 p.m.

Organizers recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, along with blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Credit cards are accepted for general event purchases, but food and wine sales are listed as cash only.
