Motorcyclist Killed in High Speed Crash on US 101 Near Cape Ferrelo
A 36 year old motorcyclist from Sisters was killed Sunday in a three vehicle crash on US 101 near Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint in Curry County. OSP says the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before striking a turning SUV.
Weekend Forecast: Red Flag Warning, Gusty Winds Raise Fire Danger East of Cascades
A Red Flag Warning is in effect through Sunday for parts of the Klamath Basin, eastern Klamath County and Modoc County. Strong southwest winds, very low humidity and critically dry fuels could allow new fires to spread rapidly, while hot inland weather continues across the region.

Unofficial Secret Beach Pullout on U.S. 101 Closing June 22
An unofficial gravel pullout along U.S. 101 north of Brookings will close to parking beginning June 22. ODOT and Oregon Parks officials say the area, often used to access Secret Beach and the Oregon Coast Trail, was never designed or maintained as a trailhead and has created safety and environmental concerns.
Man Rescued After 20-Foot Fall Near Frankport
A Beaverton man was rescued after falling approximately 20 feet onto rocks near Frankport along the Curry County coast. First responders located the injured hiker in a cave and transported him to Curry General Hospital for treatment.
