MEDFORD, Ore. — Incident command announced Saturday that the East Evans Creek Fire is now 90% contained, 21 days after it ignited July 10 when a vehicle crashed into a power pole. The fire has burned 15,580 acres, forced evacuations, filled the sky with smoke, and brought hundreds of firefighters to the region.
