Three injured in five-vehicle crash on Crater Lake Highway
Police say the driver crossed the median near Poplar Drive before striking vehicles stopped at a red light.

MEDFORD, Ore. — Three people were injured Wednesday evening after a driver traveling against traffic on Crater Lake Highway crossed the median and struck several vehicles stopped at a red light, according to Medford Police.
Police said dispatchers began receiving reports before the crash of a vehicle being driven recklessly and against traffic on the expressway entering Medford.
The vehicle continued westbound in the eastbound lanes of Crater Lake Highway before crossing the median near Poplar Drive and colliding with several vehicles stopped at the intersection.

Five vehicles were damaged in the crash. Three people were injured, including two who were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver was also transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment.
“Given the circumstances, we are incredibly fortunate no one was more seriously injured,” Medford Police said. “We know this was a frightening experience for those involved and are grateful they are safe.”
During the investigation, officers reported observing signs of impairment. Police said the driver admitted to using marijuana before the crash, and investigators obtained a search warrant to collect blood evidence as part of a DUII investigation.
Police said the driver also told officers during an interview that the crash was intentional.
The driver was identified by police as 29-year-old Justyne Harbour. She remained at the hospital for treatment and was issued citations to appear in court on charges of second-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants, and reckless driving.
The investigation remains ongoing.
