A spring-like weather system is expected to bring much cooler temperatures, widespread showers, isolated thunderstorms, and gusty winds to Southern Oregon and Northern California through Saturday. Snow levels may lower near 6,000 feet late Friday into Saturday, with chilly mornings expected Sunday and Monday.

The first significant heat wave of the summer is expected to bring 90-degree and triple-digit temperatures to much of Southern Oregon and Northern California this weekend, prompting heat advisories across several west side valleys, coastal areas and parts of far Northern California.

Cooler weather arrives Wednesday across Southern Oregon and Northern California as a compact low and cold front move through the region. NWS Medford says temperatures may fall 10 to 15 degrees compared to Tuesday, with light showers possible along the coast and parts of the inland region.

Warmer-than-normal temperatures are expected across Southern Oregon and Northern California this holiday weekend, with highs running 10 to 20 degrees above average. The National Weather Service says the warmest conditions are expected on Easter Sunday, with a Minor HeatRisk possible for heat-sensitive individuals.
