Medford Cruise Rolls Back Into Downtown This Weekend
The Medford Cruise returns June 19 and 20 with car shows at Fichtner-Mainwaring Park, a Friday evening gathering, Saturday judging events and the downtown cruise from 5 to 8 p.m. Drivers should expect road closures and no-parking restrictions along the route.
Medford Council Approves $500K Baseball Stadium Study
The Medford City Council has approved a consulting contract of up to $500,000 for early design and cost-estimation work tied to a proposed multi-purpose baseball stadium. The study will evaluate a potential Hawthorne Park site and compare it with the existing Harry & David Field location at Lithia & Driveway Fields.
Medford Council Changes Course on Main Street Plan
The Medford City Council voted 5-2 to ratify a revised Main Street plan after previously voting to return the downtown street to three lanes. The updated Option 2A configuration keeps two travel lanes, adds a one-way bike lane and is expected to create about 40 parking spaces.
Medford Reports Drop In Encampments
The Medford Police Department says illegal encampments have declined significantly since 2023, while the city’s Livability Team has expanded outreach and case support services. According to the city, Medford reported 13 illegal encampments in March 2026, down from 186 in March 2023.
Public Input Sought on Main Street Plan
The City of Medford is inviting residents to weigh in on four proposed alternatives for the future configuration of Main Street. Feedback can be submitted through a Nov. 20 open house or an online survey available through Nov. 30.
