A Medford man faces federal charges after investigators say they recovered nine firearms and homemade silencers from his residence. Prosecutors say the case later expanded to include alleged threats against a witness and an explosive device detonated in a vehicle at the witness’s home.

A Klamath Falls man pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to illegally distributing explosive devices, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon. Prosecutors say investigators later seized more than 200 homemade explosive devices, firearms and methamphetamine during searches in Klamath Falls.

Four individuals accused of unlawfully residing in the United States appeared in federal court in Medford after prosecutors alleged they made false statements while purchasing firearms and illegally possessed dozens of weapons in Southern Oregon.
