Body Recovered From Rogue River at Baker Park
Josephine County officials say the Body was found in the river’s main channel Friday afternoon, and the Medical Examiner is working to identify him.
GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The body of an unidentified person was recovered from the Rogue River at Baker Park Friday afternoon, according to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said it was notified at approximately 1:23 p.m. Sept. 11 that a body had been located in the river at Baker Park.
Deputies and fire personnel responded to the scene and contacted the individuals who originally called 911. The body was located in the main channel of the Rogue River.

The Jackson County dive team was activated to assist with the recovery.
Authorities said the body has not yet been identified, and next of kin has not been notified.
The Josephine County Medical Examiner is continuing the investigation and working to identify the person.
