A Siskiyou County sheriff’s deputy is serving in Washington, D.C., as part of a temporary U.S. Marshals task force supporting high-visibility patrols and security operations around major 250th anniversary events in the nation’s capital.

A Texas fugitive wanted on a felony warrant related to child sex crimes was arrested Tuesday near Agness after a weeklong search by Curry County deputies, Oregon State Police and U.S. Marshals.

A Medford man wanted on multiple felony child sex abuse charges was arrested Monday in White City by a U.S. Marshals-led task force. Authorities say the arrest followed a years-long investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, and additional federal charges were added after the suspect was booked into jail.

A Central Point man wanted on multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse material was arrested in Northern California last month following a multi-agency investigation involving the U.S. Marshals Service and Southern Oregon law enforcement task forces.
