Jackson Park in Medford is set for a major overhaul with a new splash park, dog park, expanded paths, Fagone Field upgrades, and other improvements planned across five phases beginning with work scheduled for completion in summer 2027.

Families in the Rogue Valley will have several movie options this summer, including free outdoor screenings in Medford and Central Point parks and discounted indoor family films at Tinseltown. Movies in the park begin at dusk, with Central Point’s series opening June 5 and Medford’s series beginning June 20.

Medford’s splash pads opened for the season Friday, May 22, giving families and residents another way to cool off heading into the holiday weekend. The city is also reminding residents to stay hydrated, use sunscreen and check on vulnerable neighbors as temperatures rise.
