A 39-year-old White City man died Tuesday night after becoming unresponsive during a Jackson County sheriff’s DUII arrest near Table Rock Road and Orr Drive. Medford Police is leading the outside investigation, while autopsy and toxicology results remain pending.

Dewitt C. Henry, who was convicted of killing six people outside a Klamath Falls restaurant 1977, died July 25 at Snake River Correctional Institution. Henry, 75, had been in state custody since 1979 and was serving six consecutive life sentences.

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office reported an in-custody death after a 50-year-old adult in custody was found unresponsive during routine cell checks late Wednesday night. Oregon State Police is investigating, and no foul play is suspected.
