Riddle Bookkeeper Pleads Guilty to Nearly $1 Million Embezzlement Scheme
Christina Klauda, 53, of Riddle, Oregon, pleaded guilty to federal bank fraud and tax charges after admitting to a nine-year embezzlement scheme targeting her former employer, Tower Timber Services. Prosecutors estimate losses exceeding $1.08 million through manipulated payroll, duplicate payments, and unauthorized checks.
Joel Caswell Sentenced to 42 Months for Tax, Fraud Crimes
Jacksonville businessman Joel Caswell has been sentenced to 42 months in federal prison for tax evasion, employment tax crimes, bank fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft. He was also ordered to pay nearly $1.2 million in restitution to the IRS.
