A family reunion at Diamond Lake turned tragic Saturday when a 71-year-old man fell from a pontoon boat and disappeared beneath the water. Authorities say he pushed his sister away from the path of the moving boat before falling in himself.

Klamath Hatchery has reopened to the public after a long rebuild following the 2020 Two Four Two Fire in Klamath County. The new Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife facility includes fish-viewing areas, restrooms, picnic spots and a modern hatchery building designed to be safer and more resilient.

Rain, snow, and gusty winds are expected across Southern Oregon this week as a strong weather system moves through the region. The National Weather Service says heavy mountain snow, falling snow levels, and winds up to 55 mph could impact travel, while a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the southern Oregon Cascades with up to 20 inches of snow possible.
